This training course was designed for workers who may potentially come into contact with asbestos whilst at work. The course informs the user of what asbestos is, where it might be found, and what it’s used for; and why it’s dangerous.
Employers have a legal responsibility to ensure that their staff know where asbestos and related materials are likely to be found, how to avoid the risk of exposure and to provide the necessary PPE to keep the worker safe.
This Asbestos Awareness training course is for anyone who works with or might potentially come into contact with asbestos at work. It looks at what asbestos is, what an Asbestos Management Plan is; it considers some of the major diseases associated with working with asbestos and the effects they have on the human body; and it covers what you should do if you are ever accidentally exposed. The course is IOSH Approved and has been audited by the Independent Asbestos Training Providers (IATP).
